Sinclair
International
I
have the privilege to review three products by Sinclair
International. The first being a dry fire device for
the M16/AR-15 series of rifles. This patented device
permits the rifle owner to dry fire without causing
damage to the firing pin. The dry fire device slides
into the bolt carrier and is invisible when the bolt
carrier is in the firearm. The device also allows
the trigger to be reset after dry firing. Simply pull
the charging handle ¼ of an inch to the rear and you
are ready to dry fire again. The device works well
for competitive shooters, military personal and law
enforcement officers as well as anyone learning an
M16/AR-15.
The Dry fire device installs with these three easy
steps. 1. Push out the lower take down pin and open
the receiver. 2. Insert the dry fire device into the
back of the bolt carrier. 3. Cock the hammer, then
close the halves and replace the takedown pin. There
is no way for the rifle to discharge a round, even
if one was cambered.
The
second item reviewed is a link that goes between the
upper and lower receivers of a M16/AR-15 . The purpose
of which is to keep the two halves apart while you
are cleaning them. The link is made of Delrin and
Stainless steel and is impervious to solvents. The
link installs in the rear locking pin hole on the
upper and the locking pin on the lower. Installation
takes only seconds.
The
third Item is a precision reloading and shooting handbook.
This is a guaranteed MUST HAVE for anyone who reloads.
In this book, shooters will find techniques to use
their tools and equipment, to the fullest extent,
including proper preparation for precision reloading
and shooting needs. This book contains a good section
on bullet coating, barrel break-in and cleaning. There
are also quite a few tips for shooting from the bench,
which most shooters have to learn from experience.
Overall, the book is an easy to read, hands-on guide
to reloading and shooting.
