Remington Model 870

What can I say about one of the best selling pump shotguns of all time? The Remington Model 870 has stood the test of time and since its introduction in the early 50's, its found its way into the hands of many hunters, clay shooters, military and law enforcement personnel across the globe. Even people, who don't know firearms, know the 870.

The 870 Express is built for quality at a price we all can afford. It's considered to be the workhorse of pump action shotguns. The basic run is short, light and well balanced. I find the action smooth to operate and easy to pump. There is an acceptable amount of parts play, meaning that some of it jiggles and rattles when you shake it. This is not significant compared to similar models.

Many of doves fell victim to my 870 in the last 10 years. I also know several people who use this shotgun as their first line of home defense. You get two tools in one! I say there isn't a more intimidating sound than that of the 870 chambering a round. The 870 is one of the best all around shotguns ever produced and offered to the public. The barrels are easy to change to help accommodate any situation.

The 870 Express is an economic version of the shotgun. This version will provide you with a reliable and durable sidekick. I even gave mine a nickname (No, I'm not telling!). There are hundreds of add-on and accessories for the 870. The shotgun can be easily and inexpensively modified to meet different requirements. Its lightweight, shoulders quick and is very fun to shoot. This is truly a legendary shotgun and I recommend it for all occasions and for every type of shooter.
