Lightwave
LED Flashlights
I
can never have enough flashlights. I like to keep one
in every room of the house. My children all have one kept
next to their beds. I keep 2 in my truck; a small one
in the glove box and a larger one with my tools and spare
tire gear. It really annoys me to have to rummage around
in the dark looking for a light. The uses for a flashlight
are unlimited. You need them to go camping, fishing, hunting
or any number of other adventures.
Most
cheap flashlights just simply make me angry. They break
when you drop them. The ends need to be screwed on just
so in order for them to work. Sometimes you have to keep
banging them to keep them turned on. This may be acceptable
for those who are on an evening outing and aren't to far
from the car, but for the serious and the professionals
these kinds of lights just don't cut it.
So
with the above said, lets talk about a serious and professional
flashlight. Lightwave is producing LED flashlights to
fit any occasion. These products come in a family of 6.
From the big Lightwave 4000 D-cell to the Lightwave Pocketbright,
these hardy flashlights will brighten your nighttime activities
and provide you with a very reliable tool.
Why
LED? The Light Emitting Diode has been around for a long
time. You've seen them on your stereo equipment, your
PC and many other common electrical products. We are starting
to see them in flashlights now. It's a good thing. LEDs'
have no filament to burn out. They do not generate a lot
of heat and they require very little power to operate.
These are long lasting flashlights.
These
Lightwave LED flashlights are durable and surprisingly
bright. The light that these produce is soft and pleasant.
Often flashlights are too bright when trying to use them
up close. They washout everything and make it very had
to see anything outside the beam. The Lightwave lights
shine a soft, bright beam of light that will not leave
you blind after turning the light off. Something to notice
is that with other lights, there always seems to be inconsistency
in the beam. You adjust the light back and forth, like
working the lens of a zoom camera, but you just can't
seem to get rid of that dark ring that is either in the
center or outer edge of the beam. It looks almost like
your looking at a target. That's always been annoying
to me. These multiple LED's eliminate that problem.
The
Lightwave 4000 is known as the world's first D-cell LED
flashlight. It's incredibly bright and delivers one heck
of a beam. This is the big daddy of the family and is
now my household flashlight. It's big, heavy and packs
a punch. This is a heavy-duty flashlight and will perform
as such. The battery life in the flashlight is close to
1 full month of continuous use.
The
Lightwave 2100 is lightweight and would be my choice of
flashlight to keep attached to my webgear or in my backpack.
Many of us have become adapt to reading maps with a red
lens flashlight, for tactical reasons. After I learned
to do it, I actually preferred the red lens to the white
washout from a regular light. This Lightwave 2100 is ideal
for reading maps in the dark. Its soft bright glow is
easy on the eyes and really makes a difference when trying
to read your pencil marks and small text/symbols. Battery
life should be at least 14 times longer than other regular
flashlights.
The
Lightwave Pocket Bright is a very handy little light to
keep on your key chain. I use this light to help get my
key in the hole on my truck without scratching the paint.
A woman might find this light very handy by using it to
find items in her purse. How many times have you dropped
something small on your way in and out of a store? Most
of the time you've got your keys in hand; add this light
to the mix and you've just made finding whatever it was
that you dropped a lot easier. Something to note is that
this is a super bright light and can be seen from over
a mile away, which makes it great in emergencies.
The
Lightwave LED flashlight product line is unmatched in
its performance for the dollar amount you will spend.
These lights all come with a very durable ribbed texture
that makes the lights very comfortable to hold. They also
come with a lanyard that can be worn around the neck,
or make a great way to store the light in a quick to get
to spot (i.e. coat/hat rack). These lights all come with
a 3-year warranty, including the LED lights. That's amazing.
