Matrix
from HydraStorm
This
setup is superior to anything that I have used in
the past. This is one of the most complete packs I've
encountered. I am used to packing light and I found
that with the Matrix, I could pack for enough in this
system for 2 days in moderate weather conditions.
In my earlier days, I could have gone further and
even longer with this pack, but those days have left
me and now 2 or 3 days is plenty.
Hydrastorm
is making the best hydration units on the market.
I am hard on gear and when I am testing products,
I am even harder. This pack stood up very nice against
the wear and tear that I put to it. The stitching
on this pack is strong. This is because there are
extra runs of the stitch. More stitching means more
durability. Pockets, pockets, and pockets. I like
having places to stash my gear. I don't like having
to throw everything into one pocket. This pack gives
you plenty of packing options and lots of storage
room. This isn't a full blown backpack, but is as
close to it as you can come with a lightweight hydration
unit. It also has lots of places to attach extra items
to the pack itself. Things like your e-tool or a set
of binos.
The
Matrix has an I.V.S. Intercooler Venting System molded
back panel. This IVS allows for more comfort and airflow
along the back. The bottom of the pack has HawkTex
non-slip material, which provides extra durability.
I
give it a 10. As with all of the BlackHawk/Hydrastorm
products, you're getting quality and professional
gear. Check out this fine product at www.hydrastorm.com
