Hoyt
VorTec
The
archery industry has become a competitive one. Every year
we get new products and terminology thrown at us by the
manufactures. It is important to remember that along with
this new terminology comes new and better equipment. This
means better hunting and shooting
for consumers. Bows are shooting faster, quieter and straighter
than ever before. I applaud the technicians and engineers
for the efforts and innovative ideas.
The
Hoyt VorTec is designed with the (TEC) Total Engineering
Concept. Hoyt's niche is basically stiffing the riser,
so you can have less of it. This leads to the bow having
a lighter overall weight, as well as less vibration. Add
these new features to the standard high quality of a Hoyt
bow, and now you've got something out of a game I used
to enjoy called Diablo
(i.e. "The Wizards Swift Bow of the VorTec").
The
VorTec also has a new style grip. This one is aimed at
helping the archer get a quicker draw. I can understand
this, because I remember having to draw and then adjust
my hand before I could shoot. This new grip will help
prevent anyone from busting his or her wrist with the
string. If your hand position is out of whack, this can
easily happen to anyone. I found the grip to be more than
comfortable.
This
bow comes with XT2000 limbs. Wow that's an impressive
number, but what does it mean and why should I care? Yeah,
that's what I thought until I did the research. Ok, these
new limbs are built to distribute the energy evenly. By
doing this, you will have less wear and tear on the limbs
plus I imagine this can add noticeable speed to the arrow
flight.
The
Hoyt VorTec preformed at a level I expected, very high.
I would not expect anything but top speed from this leading
company. I enjoyed shooting it and I hope you will have
a great experience with yours. You can find Hoyt's info
